Gunther Von Darklands

The other day, after a long week, we decided to make some fan art for Lindsay's favorite game, Darklands. I got Gunther. He's a big buff dude. The original challenge was a 5 or 10 minute sketch, I believe.



But then everyone decided to just go ahead and throw it in the computer and pixel it up. For ye-olde-times sake.



Both Lindsay and Francesca did one, as well.

Sleep does not come.

Holiday Blues.

November and December are packed with travel, food, celebration and guilt. I'm about 1/2 way through it now, and getting tired of it. I should be happy I get to jet-set around the country, but more than anything I'm just looking forward to being able to the gym everyday once it's over... in a month or so.

teeth

I drew this in preparation for my Super Awesome Art Challenge piece. The theme was 'teeth' and after much deliberation, I decided to do a gangster named Teeth, ala the creepy Dick Tracey characters.



After 2 minutes I realized it was awful. Blech.

So I decided to do a more serious and creepy version, and lose the dumb hat. But keep the popped collar.



I liked this one much better.

I'm trying to approach drawing faces in a new way. I want to make sure to not immediately fall back on shapes and details that I'm used to. It's fun.

Been in a lot of meetings lately. Not fun, I guess. But the thing is, our meetings are about as fun as meetings get. Laughs, creativity, brainstorming, lots of silly ideas and doodles. It'd be more fun if they were at a waterpark, though.
